We will start our discovery with the beautiful Koutoubia mosque. Located in the southwest quarter of the medina and built by the Almohads,it served as a model to build the Giralda in Seville in Spain. It consists of a large prayer hall, a 77 m minaret and a large garden with several fountains.

Then we will visit the famous Bahia Palace, located in the Mellah district (Jewish quarter of Marrakech). this Andalusian-Moroccan palace was made in the middle of the 18th century on an area of 8000 square meters. It consists of several galleries of rooms, riad, a mosque, a stable, basins … All surrounded by magnificent green gardens. A great discovery of Moroccan and Andalusian architecture.

After that, a visit to the Saadian tombs is a must to discover another period in the history of Marrakech. It is one of the few remaining monuments from the time of the reign of the Saadian dynasty. It is in the famous Kasbah district and it was only discovered in 1917. It houses the remains of the different kings of this dynasty.All in a beautiful architecture testifying to the genius of the craftsmen of the time.

The Souks of Marrakech aren’t just a place to do shopping, it’s a lifestyle, an adventure and discovery of Ali Baba's caves. It’s divided into several districts according to the nature of the goods displayed in the shops and stands. A real labyrinth for visitors.

More than 40.000 artisans are grouped by profession and give you the opportunity of appreciating their skills. A set of 18 sub-souks ranging from traditional slippers to carpets, ironworkers, carpenters, copper, spices …. You’ll find anything you’re looking for.

The Souks of Marrakech are also home to many caravanserais, formerly a meeting place for caravans to exchange goods before leaving for the desert crossing. They were also places of lodging of the merchantsbut also of their mounts and their goods. Today a lot of craftsmen have settled there to make handicraftswhich should later be sold in the many small alleys of the souks.
